Harold Palmer is the founder of Micron Business Products. MBP got its start in 1972, and its employees took pride in providing the best in office machines and repairs. MBP began rebuilding toner cartridges in 1992, and a manager was hired who was specifically trained in laser technology. Harold Palmer, Founder A transplant from West Virginia, Harold was a salesman for a candy maker in Chicago when he became interested in business machines. As he moved from sales rep to district manager, Harold made many of the personal contacts that allowed him to start Micron Business Products in 1972. Micron originally sold calculators and other business machines, and its original store was a former funeral home. Ed moved to the Midwest and worked as a salesman before joining Micron in 1973. At that time Micron didn’t have its own service department, so Ed would pack and send office machines off for repair. Ed became service manager in 1977, and has remained with the company through its many changes.
Joan joined Micron in 1980, and she did a little bit of everything—sales, shipping and receiving, and bookkeeping. More than 25 years later (“I’m not a job jumper,” she says), Joan continues to bring great attention to detail, a sense of humor, and account support to Micron clients. Greg Palmer, Service Manager Greg came to Micron with a lot of experience in customer service. When Micron moved to fill the remade copy machine and cartridge niche in 1992, Greg learned how to remanufacture cartridges and took seminars in printer repair. Pamela Peacock, Front Office If you’ve called or visited our offices, you’ve met Pam. Pam is a lifelong Wisconsinite, born and raised in Delavan, WI.
